
Smart Education starts now: CWS, Ministry of Education and Huawei launch uLearning and Smart Classrooms
Cable & Wireless Seychelles, the Ministry of Education and Huawei have switched on secure connectivity, a uLearning platform, and the first four Smart Classrooms at Anse Boileau, Anse Royale, Beau Vallon and Praslin—benefiting around 1,400 students and 200 teachers.

Cable & Wireless Seychelles (CWS), in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Huawei, has activated a new Smart Education initiative combining secure connectivity, a uLearning platform and the first four Smart Classrooms across:
- Anse Boileau
- Anse Royale
- Beau Vallon
- Praslin
The rollout is designed to support approximately 1,400 students and 200 teachers, with training provided from day one so classrooms can start teaching digitally immediately. All services are securely hosted in the CWS Data Centre, ensuring reliability, data protection and room to scale.
Digital Learning for the Future
This is the first phase of a national programme—build, learn, scale—aimed at making digital learning shine across Seychelles. The initiative represents a significant step forward in modernizing education infrastructure and preparing students for the digital economy.
